Membership in the United Democrats of Ojai Valley is free and open to all who share our progressive values. The only requirement to be a member is that you are a registered Democrat.
As a member, you'll receive regular updates about local political issues, be able to vote on endorsements and join our committees, helping to shape the organization.
Our various committees work on endorsements, events organization, fundraising, communications and bylaws. All active members are welcome to participate and help shape the direction of our organization.

Volunteers are the heart of our organization. Whether you have an hour a week or can dedicate more time, there are many ways to contribute your skills and energy to our cause.
Phone Banking
Call voters to share information about candidates and issues, conduct surveys, and encourage civic participation. Training provided. Can be done from home.
Canvassing
Go door-to-door in our community to have conversations with voters, distribute literature, and build support for progressive candidates and causes.
Voter Registration
Help register new voters at community events, farmers markets, and other public gatherings. Essential work for expanding democratic participation.
Event Planning
Assist with organizing meetings, fundraisers, social events, and community forums. Great for people with organizational and creative skills.
Digital Outreach
Help manage our social media presence, create graphics, write content, and engage with supporters online. Perfect for tech-savvy volunteers.
Research & Writing
Research policy issues, write newsletter articles, prepare candidate questionnaires, and help keep our members informed about local politics.
Get Out The Vote (GOTV)
During election season, help with intensive efforts to ensure every progressive voter casts their ballot. This is when we need all hands on deck!
Transportation
Provide rides to voters who need assistance getting to polling places or registering to vote. Make democracy accessible to everyone.
